Guilford Man Receives $275K Jury Award After Accident: Report
The man's vehicle was struck from behind by a drunk driver.

GUILFORD, CT — Randy Banks, 50, of Guilford, was awarded a $275,153 jury away after being hit by a drunk driver back in 2015, according to the Connecticut Law Tribune.
The verdict was handed down on Dec. 14. Lauren Paterson, 44, of Avon, struck Banks car from behind while stopped at a construction area, according to the report. Banks suffered a significant knee injury as a result of the accident.
Patterson was charged at the time with DUI and pleaded guilty and received a 3-year prison sentence suspended after one year served, according to the Connecticut Law Tribune.
