Guilford Man Shot in New Haven

Police say the man was hospitalized with injuties that are not life-threatening: BREAKING

NEW HAVEN, CT — A 47-year-old Guilford man was hospitalized with injuries that are not life-threatening after he was shot in the ankle while in New Haven on Tuesday morning, according to the New Haven Register.

The Register reports the shooting occurred at about 10 a.m. near the intersection of Mansfield and Division streets in the city’s Prospect Hill section.

The victim told police that he had also been beaten and his cell phone was stolen, according to the Register.

WTNH News 8 reports the suspect had an accomplice and they fled in a newer white model Chevrolet with New York license plates.

Witnesses told police that the suspects were seen dragging the victim from his vehicle, according to WTNH.
