Guilford Nursery School Seeks Pre-K Teacher

Community Nursery School, a cooperative pre-school located in Guilford, is seeking an experienced teacher for a part time position teaching our pre-K class. The ideal candidate will embrace the co-op model, work with parents to create a nurturing and safe environment for their children and will have experience working collaboratively with other teachers/families in a learning situation. Requires an understanding of ages and stages of development, a knowledge of play-based schools and a desire to be part of a strong, tight-knit community. Must be available to teach 3 afternoons per week.
The Ideal Candidate will:
Have a degree in early childhood education or related field
Have 3 or more years experience teaching preschool-aged children (or related/equivalent experience), preferably in a play-based environment
Have experience with a co-op preschool environment
Use positive and supportive interactions with young children and their parents
Be organized, punctual, responsible and committed to Community Nursery School's success and excellence in education
Successful completion of a background check, CPR/First Aid for Infant and Child certification and the ability to lift more than 50 pounds is required.
Compensation to be determined depending on experience and education.
