Guilford police log for August 4th – August 10th

Guilford police handled a total of 321 incidents during this time period. There were 157 calls for police service from the public, and 158 officer initiated responses. There were also 6 cancelled calls for service.

Police handed out a total of 81 written motor vehicle warnings, wrote 13 motor vehicle accident reports, handed out 8 infraction tickets. There were 128 phone calls into the police department requesting service and 18 residents who walked into the department during the week requesting assistance.

Michael J. Barbera, 40, of 1615 Great Hill Road, Guilford, charged August 4th with assault in the 3rd degree, breach of peace in the 2nd degree.

Steven W. Brown, 18, of 74 Sperry Drive, Guilford, charged August 4th with violation of protective order, disorderly conduct.

Michelle Kastancuk, 55, of 12 Hilton Avenue, East Haven, charged August 5th with larceny in the 6th degree, conspiracy (misdemeanor), possession of narcotics, use of drug paraphernalia.

Michelle E. Muir, 55, of 72 Marshal Road, Meriden, charged August 6th with conspiracy (misdemeanor).

Michael C. Myles, 36, of 363 Mulberry Point, Guilford, charged August7th with illegally operating a motor vehicle under influence of alcohol/drugs, evading responsibility, property damage/injury, failure to drive in proper lane, criminal mischief in the 3rd degree.

Christopher Schweizer, 22, of 18 Graves Avenue, Guilford, charged August 7th with assault in the 3rd degree, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief in the 2nd degree.
