Guilford Police Arrests Include Burglary and Larceny Charges

Guilford police log for December 29th – January 4th

Guilford police handled a total of 258 incidents during this time period. There were 145calls for police service from the public, and 107 officer initiated responses. There were also 6 cancelled calls for service.

Police handed out a total of 33 written motor vehicle warnings, wrote 8 motor vehicle accident reports. There were 27 residents who walked into the department during the week requesting assistance and 113 calls into the department requesting police help.

Additionally, there were 14 reports of false burglar alarms. There were 4 detective reports written.

Arrested were:

Mark J. Swain, 38, of 403 New England Road, Guilford, charged December 31st with illegally operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, failure to drive in proper lane.

Joseph T. McArdle, 24, of 70 Stonegate Circle, Branford, charged January 2nd with burglary in the 3rd degree, conspiracy (felony-Class D), criminal mischief in the 1st degree, larceny in the 6th degree, conspiracy (misdemeanor-C).

Zachary O. Nere, 25, of 62 Point Arrowhead, Guilford, charged January 2nd with evading responsibility/property damage/injury.

Jamie M. Devitt, 25, of 62 Wauwinet Trail, Guilford, charged January 3rd with evading responsibility/property damage/injury.

Brandon M. Downing, 18, of 24E Stonegate Circle, Branford, charged January 3rd with burglary in the 3rd degree, conspiracy (felony-Class D), criminal mischief in the 1st degree, larceny in the 6th degree, conspiracy (misdemeanor-C).

Alphonse A. Narcisco, 56, of 61 Flat Iron Road, Guilford, charged January 4th with criminal possession of weapon.
