Guilford Police Arrests Include Cruelty to Animals and DUI Charges

All of the information is provided by the Police Department and all charges are allegations at this time.

Guilford police log for June 9th – June 15th

Guilford police handled a total of 385 incidents during this time period. There were 226 calls for police service from the public, and 140 officer initiated responses. There were also 19 cancelled calls for service. 

Police handed out a total of 73 written motor vehicle warnings, wrote 29 motor vehicle accident reports, handed out 9 infraction tickets. There were 179 phone calls into the police department requesting service and 36 residents who walked into the department during the week requesting assistance.

Scott R. Sousa, 28, of 30 Renees Way, Madison, charged June 9th with illegally operating under the influence (3rd offense), and illegally operating a motor vehicle without ignition device.

Michael P. Aragon, 33, of 51 Whitfield Street, Guilford, charged June 10th with breach of peace in 2nd degree, criminal mischief in 1st degree.

Matthew Giglietti, 36, of 68 Stevens Street, East Haven, charged June 10th with criminal trespass in the 3rd degree, criminal impersonation, interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, illegally operating a motor vehicle with license under suspension, possession of burglar tools, conspiracy (felony-Class D).

Jason Sagnella, 37, of 44 Green Garden, East Haven, charged June 10th with criminal trespass in the 3rd degree, conspiracy (felony-Class D).

Adam M. Bozzuto, 20, of 78 Lanes Pond Road, Northford, charged June 11th with illegally operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, failure to drive in proper lane, failure to obey traffic control signals.

Nicole M. Kopyscianski, 25, of 2158 Boston Post Road, Guilford, charged June 11th with cruelty to animals.

Amanda K. Burghart, 23, of 49 Thorn Hill Road, Guilford, charged June 12th with illegally operating a motor vehicle under influence of alcohol/drugs, improper stop/turn signal lane, and possession of marijuana (1/2-ounce).
