Guilford police log for June 30th – July 6th

Guilford police handled a total of 459 incidents during this time period. There were 197 calls for police service from the public, and 249 officer initiated responses. There were also 13 cancelled calls for service.

Police handed out a total of 156 written motor vehicle warnings, wrote 25 motor vehicle accident reports, handed out 15 infraction tickets. There were 166 phone calls into the police department requesting service and 25 residents who walked into the department during the week requesting assistance.

Nyasia D. Porter, 24, of 301 Nut Plains Road, Guilford, charged July 1st with failure to respond-payable violation.

Erwin C. Palma, 44 of 51 Hamlin Street, Middletown, charged July 2nd with failure to drive in proper lane, illegally operating under the influence of alcohol/drugs.

Diego G. Orellana-Or, 35, of 1008 Moose Hill Road, Guilford, charged July 3rd with illegally operating under the influence of alcohol/drugs.

Richard E. Morrow, 37, of 100 Clear Lake Road, Guilford, charged July 4th with illegally carrying a firearm under influence of drugs/alcohol, illegal discharge of a firearm, reckless endangerment in the 1st degree, breach of peace in the 2nd degree, possession of narcotics.

James P. Rusnack, 27, of 5 Sunset Pass, East Haven, charged July 5th with criminal violation of restraining order.
