Guilford Police Arrests Include Public Indecency and DUI Charges

Guilford police log for April 21st – April 27th

Guilford police handled a total of 422 incidents during this time period. There were 185 calls for police service from the public, and 229 officer initiated responses. There were also 8
cancelled calls for service.

Police handed out a total of 131 written motor vehicle warnings, 10 verbal warnings, wrote 13 motor vehicle accident reports, handed out 4 infraction tickets. There were 159 phone calls into the police department requesting service and 16 residents who walked into the department during the week requesting assistance.

Additionally, there were 13 reports of false burglar alarms. There was one detective report written.

Arrested were:

Oscar A. Guzman, 31, of 94 Sherland Avenue, New Haven, charged April 21st with public indecency, breach of peace in the 2nd degree, risk of injury to a child, and operating a motor vehicle without a license.

Ines Ruiz, 50, of 130 Coe Avenue, Guilford, charged April 21st with illegally operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, use of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance (4 oz. of marijuana).

Emanuel G. Serpis, 57, of 18 Edwards Street, New Haven, charged April 22nd with violation of protective order.

Zuline Johnson, 53, of 471 Whalley Avenue, New Haven, charged April 23rd with disorderly conduct.

Robert W. Kazdan, 69, of 148 Laurelbrook Drive, Guilford, charged April 24th with disorderly conduct, and threatening in the 2nd degree.

Kevin S. Glassbrook, 48, of 870 Moose Hill Road, Guilford, charged April 26th with illegally operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alchohol.
