Guilford Police Arrests Include Risk of Injury to a Child and Assault Charges

Guilford police log for August 11th – August 17th

Guilford police handled a total of 381 incidents during this time period. There were 196 calls for police service from the public, and 173 officer initiated responses. There were also 12 cancelled calls for service.

Police handed out a total of 77 written motor vehicle warnings, wrote 17 motor vehicle accident reports, handed out 8 infraction tickets. There were 176 phone calls into the police department requesting service and 19 residents who walked into the department during the week requesting assistance.

Additionally, there were 17 reports of false burglar alarms. There was 2 detective reports written.

Arrested were:

Patricia Brooks, 69, of 230 County Street, New Haven, charged August 11th with larceny in the 6th degree, and issuing a bad check under $250.

Aaron J. Lord, 26, of 89 Trolley Road, Guilford, charged August 12th with risk of injury to a child, unlawful restraint in the 2nd degree, breach of peace in the 2nd degree, criminal trespass in the 1st degree, and disorderly conduct.

Diego I. Valedenegro, 28, of 135 Sperry Drive, Guilford, charged August 15th with disorderly conduct, assault in the 3rd degree, unlawful restraint in the 2nd degree.

Michael J. Bylo, 31, of 13 Beach Road, Ext., Clinton, charged August 16th with violation of probation.

Jaclyn M. Kichar, 30, of 630 Howe Avenue, Shelton, charged August 16th with larceny in the 6th degree, conspiracy (misdemeanor-C).

Robert W. Streitweiser, 33, of S Hoop Pole Road, Guilford, charged August 17th with evading responsibility/property damage/injury, illegally operating a motor vehicle without minimum insurance, improper use of marker/license/registration.
