Guilford Police Assist in Child Pornography Possession Arrest

Justin Bloom of Clinton was arrested for allegedly promoting a minor in obscene material and possessing of child pornography.

Clinton police were assigned to investigate a report of an adult male possessing child pornography in the town of Clinton.

After obtaining a search warrant, Jeremiah Dunn of the Clinton Police Department said digital media was seized from the residence and child pornography was allegedly found. Dozens of videos and hundreds of still images were recovered, he said.

Justin Anthony Bloom, 27, of 44 Sunnybrook Lane in Clinton was arrested 2:40 p.m. Thursday, June 4, at his place of residence.

Bloom was arrested on the following charges:

  • Promoting a minor in obscene material
  • Possession of child pornography

He was issued a $100,000 bond and a June 5 court date.

The investigation by Detective Bryan Pellegrini of the Clinton Police Department was conducted in conjunction with Detective Sergeant Timothy Bernier of the Guilford Police Department.

The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Program contacted local police and reported the suspected pornographic media being possessed by the suspect.

The ICAC program is a national network of 61 coordinated task forces representing more than 3,000 federal, state, and local law enforcement and prosecutorial agencies.

These agencies are engaged in proactive investigations, forensic investigations, and criminal prosecutions, Dunn said.
