Guilford Police Caution Residents About Black Ice

Melting snow is now refreezing and black ice is forming. Please stay home if you don’t have to travel as roads will only get worse over the next few hours. DPW and DOT will be out tonight sanding and salting to improve road conditions. Officers have been responding to accidents all day in addition to the trees and wires hazards.

If you have to travel, give yourself extra time, slow your speeds way down and give ample stopping distance between you and the car in front of you.
