Guilford Police Caution Residents About Fallen Officer Charity Scam

The Guilford Police Department received a complaint yesterday from a local resident about a fallen officer charity scam. The resident report that a call was received from 203-204-3662 and the caller ID showed "Guilford, CT" as the identifier.
The resident stated that the male had a thick Middle Eastern or Indian accent and was requesting a donation in the amount of $50, $75 or $100. He indicated that the donations were for fallen officers families.The complainant said she was not able to make the donation and the caller continued to pressure her.
