Guilford Police Chief Writes Open Letter to the Community

Guilford Police Chief Jeffrey C. Hutchinson wrote an open letter to the community in the wake of recent violence involving law enforcement across the country.

In the lengthy letter, Hutchinson details the grief all police officers feel when another law enforcement official is killed.

Hutchinson wrote that the police community is a family. He also thanked the Guilford community for their overwhelming support and generosity since the Dallas police shootings. He thanked the community for the cards, food, and words of support.

He concluded his letter by saying how honored he is to serve the wonderful town of Guilford.
