Guilford Police Officer Receives $250K Settlement From Town

The settlement includes the town paying the officer's legal fees, according to a report.

GUILFORD, CT — Police Officer Mark O’Connor has received more than $250,000 from the town to end his age-related discrimination case, the New Haven Register reports.

O'Connor had claimed that he was passed over for multiple promotions due to his age, despite receiving glowing recommendations. Guilford could have appealed a jury's recent decision in favor of O'Connor but decided against it.

O'Connor's attorney told the New Haven Register that his client has been vindicated.
