Guilford Police 'Sad' About Trash Left Behind At Town Docks

Police said the debris left behind could hurt the animals who live there.

GUILFORD, CT — The Guilford Police Department on Facebook made their status "feeling sad" at the Guilford Town Marina.

The reason why they're feeling sad, is because of the amount of littering found on the docks.

"It is hard to overlook the large amount of trash being left each night at the town docks. From soda bottles, to paper, wrappers and what seems like miles of fishing line.... strewn about our beautiful coastline. Not only is it blight and dangerous to our animals who live here... but it is illegal with a hefty state fine attached. Pictured here are just a few items of trash we collected at the docks this weekend. We love our wildlife as much as we love this community."
