Guilford Police Safely Locate Juvenile Who Missed Mental Health Appointment
Police said they were concerned about the juvenile's wellbeing and officers and K-9 located the teen.

GUILFORD, CT — The Guilford Police Department and K-9 Kobe were able to safely locate a juvenile who was missing from a mental health appointment, police said in a news release Wednesday. On Wednesday, police were called to attempt to locate a juvenile, who was missing from a mental health appointment in the area of Route 1 and Goose Lane, police said.
The juvenile had fled from the appointment to an unknown location, police said. "Fearing for the Juvenile's wellbeing, Officers searched the area both on foot and in vehicles," police said. "Guilford Police Officer Bartlett and her K9 partner Kobe were called to the scene to assist in the search.
"Officer Bartlett deployed K9 Kobe and began searching the area. K9 Kobe led Officer Bartlett to a wooded area between the Goose La commuter lot and I-95. Officers continued to search the area and after tracking through the wooded area Officer Bartlett and K9 Kobe ultimately located the juvenile hiding on the edge of the wooded area within close proximity to the highway. Once located, medical assistance was provided to the juvenile."
