Guilford Police Thank the Public for its Support

We have received an overwhelming amount of support over the last few weeks from the Guilford Community. We don't often want to single out any particular person or group, but today our Coast Guard Community from Guilford dropped off mugs and notes for each officer.

As you can imagine, reading the sentiments on these cards and mugs can invoke some major emotions and we humbly appreciate every word. Thank you to the local Coast Guard Community for these beautiful mugs and thoughts of encouragement and support.

Some days, this job is extremely trying and stressful. Some days, we make decisions based on laws that we wish we didn't have to.

Some days we go home to our families and hug them extra tight knowing the dangers that exist and the tragedy that we see. But everyday, we leave our shift hoping that we made this town a better place. We see you Guilford, and we do our best every day to keep you safe and secure.

Thank you to all our Guilford residents for your tremendous support through these very difficult times for the men and women in blue.
