Guilford Police Urge Drivers to Drive Extra Carefully as School is in Session

Kids are excited to return to school..., parents are more excited, and thousands of Guilford Students will descend on our roadways tomorrow in buses, in vehicles, walking or biking.

Please drive carefully. Stay off your phone. Pay attention to the road. Stop for buses that have stop signs out and red lights blinking. Slow down, especially near bus stops. It all seems pretty self explanatory but every year we receive complaints about all of these issues, especially when school starts.

We want everyone to go home safely at night. It is up to all of us as a community to be responsible drivers and protect our children. Set good examples for your future and young drivers.... we believe in you.
