Guilford Residents Express Concerns Over Stone House Restaurant Redevelopment Plans
Oceanco LLC is seeking to turn the former restaurant building into office space.

Guilford residents aren’t completely buying what Michael Rothberg, who is co-owner of Oceanco LLC is trying to sell them.
About 70 people attended a Planning and Zoning Commission public hearing Wednesday night in which Rothberg is seeking approval to convert the former Stone House Restaurant at 506 Whitfield Street into office space for marine research, specifically marine sonar technology, the New Haven Register reports.
Rothberg’s group paid $2.75 million for the property. None of the speakers personally criticized Rothberg, a respected member of the community, but they expressed doubts about his intentions for the site, the Register reports.
