The flat 5K course starts and finishes on South Union Street and heads to the picturesque Guilford Harbor passing the Guilford Fairgrounds and Henry Whitfield Museum. After the race, participants can unwind and enjoy a post-race brunch and awards ceremony. Tech tees are offered to the first 900 5K runners and 2K walkers to register! All remaining entrants receive cotton shirts.
The race benefits the Rotary Club of Guilford. Over the past thirty years, the event has donated thousands of dollars to the Guilford community. The mission of the Rotary is service in the community, workplace and throughout the world. Rotarians develop community service projects that address many of today's most critical issues, such as children at risk, poverty and hunger, the environment, illiteracy, and violence. Andy Stevens, Race Chairman and Guilford Rotary member, states, “The road race supports ongoing Rotary projects such as our Shoreline Cleanup, Habitat for Humanity and Warm the Children. The event also promotes health and fitness. It’s a great way to start the New Year!”
