Guilford Town Band Summer Performance
Local music ensemble gives annual performance as part of the Community Picnic on the Green

The Guilford Town Band will perform its annual summer concert on the Guilford Green on July 9th at 5 pm as part of the Guilford Community Picnic.
The Guilford Town Band, directed by high school band director Mark Gahm, is a multi-generational group of musicians from our own community, as well as surrounding towns. The band is made up of 100+ performers ranging in ages from 15-80 years old. Many of the players have been performing professionally in the area for many years. The group was founded in 2000, and holds two concerts per year - one at the Community Picnic, and the other at Guilford High School in January.
The theme of this year's summer concert is "A British Invasion" and will include performances of works by prominent British composers, such as Gustav Holst's "Mars" from The Planets, and the Colonel Bogey March by Kenneth Alford, as well as medleys of music by the Beatles, and from the James Bond movie series.

Green Community Center.
