Guilford Would Take 20% Hit Under Latest Malloy Budget Plan

Guilford was slated to receive $3.25 million under previously approved plan; Malloy now proposing $645,000 less be headed town's way.

GUILFORD, CT - The bad news keeps coming for Connecticut municipalities as the state attempts to claw out from under its budget mess.

Under Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's revised, proposed adjustments to the fiscal year 2019 budget previously adopted by the legislature state municipal aid would be cut nearly $100 million - both in the education and non-education side.

For Guilford, it would be a 20 percent cut from the previously approved $3.25 million total - to $2.6 million.
