In the 86th State House District, the winner is Republican Vincent Candelora.
For the 98th State House District, the winner is Democrat Sean Scanlon over Republican Cindy Cartier, the Connecticut Mirror reports. In Guilford, Scanlon received 4,360 votes while Cartier received 3,659 votes.

For the 12th Senatorial District, the winner is Democrat Ted Kennedy Jr. with 8,531 votes over Republican Bruce Wilson Jr.’s 6,377 votes, the Connecticut Post reports. In Guilford, Kennedy received 6,007 votes while Wilson received 3,818 votes.
Democrat Peter Barrett is the new judge of the probate.

Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro has won her 13th term serving Connecticut’s third congressional district.
According to the Connecticut Post, in Guilford Tom Foley and Heather Somers received 4,281 votes while Dannel Malloy and Nancy Wyman received 5,534 votes.
