In 2014, there were 696 crimes reported in Guilford, which is an increase from 2013 when 511 crimes were reported, according to the latest FBI data.

But in the same FBI report, it revealed that in Guilford in 2014 there were 339 property crimes reported, 20 burglaries, 312 larceny thefts, 7 motor vehicle thefts and 1 case of arson.
By way of comparison in 2013 there was 5 violent crimes reported including 1 rape, and 4 aggravated assaults reported in Guilford.

In 2013 there were 253 property crimes reported, 28 burglaries, 218 larceny thefts, 7 motor vehicle thefts and 0 cases of arson.
