Guilford's Top Cop Agrees To Contract Extension

GUILFORD, CT – The Board of Police Commissioners has unanimously voted to offer the town’s current top cop, Jeff Hutchinson, a new, three-year contract extension. That contract offer will be formally proposed to the Board of Selectmen at Monday’s meeting, Police Commission Chairman Mike Mikolay said on Friday.

“We’re very happy with the chief’s performance,” Mikolay said.

Mikolay said the financial and other terms of the contact will be known once the selectmen vote to approve the extension.

Hutchinson has been chief since 2015 and had been on the Guilford force for over 25 years.
