Hit-and-run Sends Guildford Cyclist to Hospital
The accident occurred in Chester, where the minivan driver was allegedly intoxicate.

A hit-and-run accident Sunday sent a Guilford man to the hospital.
An article in the Middletown Press said Michael S. Alevy, 58, was cycling near the intersection of Route 148 and Butter Jones Road in Chester when he was hit by a Dodge Caravan driven by Vermont resident Kenneth Tanner, 47.
The police report, the Middletown Press said, indicated Alevy suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Tanner allegedly left the scene, according to the article, and, when he was apprehended, failed a sobriety test.
