GUILFORD, CT — Swimming is allowed again at Jacobs Beach in Guilford following a brief closure this week, according to an update from the town.

The water was off limits for all of Wednesday and part of Thursday due to the discovery of high bacteria levels, but beachgoers were given the go-ahead to swim at 4 p.m. Thursday.
