League of Women Voters of the East Shore Candidates Debates Schedule

Candidates Debates scheduled for 12th Senate, 102nd House and 86th House seats

The League of Women Voters of the East Shore is pleased to announce our Candidates Debates schedule for the 2016 Elections. All of the debates are open to the general public and the League encourages area residents to attend.

12th State Senate candidates: Ted Kennedy, Jr. (D) & Bruce R. Wilson, Jr. (R);

Tuesday, Oct. 18, 7:30 p.m. Guilford Community Center (1st floor); Co-sponsor: AARP-CT. Moderator: Claire Sauer, LWV-Southeastern CT

86th State Representative candidates: Vincent Candelora (R) & Vincent Mase (Petition); Tuesday, Nov. 1, 7:30 p.m. Evergreen Woods Auditorium (2nd floor); Co-sponsor: Evergreen Woods. Moderator: Carol Reimers, President, LWVES

These candidates’ debates are part of the League of Women Voters of the East Shore effort to provide voting information and engage Shoreline residents with their government.

“Candidates Debates are an important part of what the League organizes to help citizens learn about the candidates as they prepare to vote on November 8th ,” said Carol Reimers, President, League of Women Voters of the East Shore.

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of public policy issues, and influences public policy thorough education and advocacy. Membership is open to men and women of all ages.
