GUILFORD, CT - A shoreline business recently donated and installed, free of charge, the concession stand at Guilford High School. Advanced Overhead Door gave the gift.

“As a local family run business on the shoreline for over 30 years, we try to give back to our customers by contributing to their local communities,” said Gina M. Forselius Berrios,” of Advanced Overhead Doors.

These days Gina Forselius Berrios and her husband, Jose Berrios, run the business along with Gina’s brother, Paul Forselius.

“As a young couple, with two children (4 & 6), my husband I know the importance and necessity of giving back, so we have made it part of our mission moving forward. Just a few months back our company sponsored one of the Clinton Little League teams (we also coached the team). The money collected from those sponsorships goes directly back into our children’s hands. It is used to repair fields, purchase uniforms and equipment,” Gina Forselius Berrios said.

“When Paula Dower (on behalf of Guilford High School) called to see if we would be interested in replacing the door on the concession stand at the High School football field, we knew that this would be another great way to give back to the kids. We went out and measured the door needed on the stand and to Paula’s great surprise and appreciation, we offered to donate the door and install it for free.

“If we were to charge a customer for this door, and put a retail value on it, I would put it around $800. “
