Man Charged In Undercover Sting Targeting Sex Predators on Craigslist: Police
Guilford police say the man exchanged hundreds of emails with what he believed was a juvenile female.

The Guilford Police Department recently conducted an undercover sting in an effort to catch online sexual predators on Craigslist, the Police Department said in a release Saturday.
Police said during their investigation Samuel Lewis, 34, of West Haven is accused of making contact with what he believed was a juvenile female.
Lewis exchanged hundreds of emails with the what he believed was a juvenile female and the two planned to meet for the purpose of having sex, police said.

Lewis was arrested at the pre-determined meeting place. He was released after posting $10,000 bond and is charged with second-degree criminal attempt to commit sexual assault, criminal attempt to commit enticing a minor via the computer, and criminal attempt to commit risk of injury to a minor.
