'Suspicious' Motorist Takes Picture Of 2 Students: Guilford PD

Police are investigating the suspicious incident. Extra officers will be present during pickup and drop off times Friday.

GUILFORD, CT — The Guilford Police Department is investigating the report of a suspicious activity which occurred around 3pm Thursday. Two middle school students said they got off the bus in the area of Saw Mill Road and began walking home when they saw a small black sedan with a white piece of paper taped to the rear window, possibly a temporary registration plate, driving by them slowly, police said.

The vehicle was being driven by a black male wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, police said. The vehicle then turned around in a driveway and drove by the students a second time, police said. This time, the male rolled down the window and took photographs of the students, police said.

The driver did not attempt to speak with the students before driving off towards Hubbard Road, police said. The two walked home and told their parents before calling the police, police said. Officers immediately responded to the area but were unable to locate the suspicious vehicle, police said.
