No Animal Cruelty Found in Flea Infested Guilford Condo
Police found no problems with the pets in the house aside from the fleas.

Police found no evidence of animal cruelty after investigating a flea infestation at a condo at West River Village, the New Haven Register reports.
Deputy Police Chief Jeff Hutchinson told the Register that two of the three cats in the unit, where neighbors alleged the flea problem originated, were inspected and they found no problems beyond the fleas. The third cat ran away when the officers entered.
Police were called to investigate the unit after a flea-infested carpet was discarded in the trash, causing the bugs to spread to the entire complex at 274 Church St.
