Obituary: Allen R. Albee, 78, longtime resident of Guilford
He was an Army veteran and Morse Code operator. A skilled painter, and member of the Sportsman's Club and VFW, he liked playing cards.
Wednesday, January 27, 2021 Allen R. Albee longtime resident of Guilford passed away at CT Hospice, Branford. Mr. Albee was born in New Haven on Jan 12, 1943, son of the late Allen Webster Albee and Gertrude (Earley) Albee. He is survived by two nieces and three nephews; Kimberly and Kathleen (John), Sean, Frederick Jr., and Edward (Karen), and seven grandnieces and nephews. Also survived by his longtime companion Nancy Peterson. Predeceased by a brother Frederick Albee and a sister Carroll Elizabeth Albee.
Al proudly served his country in the Army. He was stationed in Turkey and worked as a Morse Code Intercept Operator. He worked for many years as a skilled painter along the shoreline area. He was a former member of the Guilford Sportsman’s Club and the VFW Edward A. Norton Post #7666 in Guilford. He enjoyed wildlife and playing cards with his friends.
