Obituary: Geraldine Margaret Dwarica, 83, longtime of Guilford
She enjoyed a fun life, and a fulfilling career as a public health nurse, but family above all is what brought her the most joy, happiness.

Friday, July 7, 2023 Geraldine Margaret Dwarica, 83, longtime resident of Guilford passed away at home, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Leonard A. Dwarica. Mrs. Dwarica was born in Brooklyn New York on May 8, 1940, daughter of the late Patrick and Anna (Kardakos) Gorden. Loving mother of Leonard Dwarica, Jr of guilford ,Scott Dwarica of guilford and Christopher Dwarica of Guilford. She is also survived a grandchild Devin Dwarica. Predeceased by her brother Patrick Gorden
Geraldine is a 1958 graduate of NYC public high school. Bellevue school of nursing, NYC- RN 1961- Dominican College, Blauvelt, NY- BSN 1993. Before moving to Connecticut, she had worked for several New York area hospitals including Bellevue, Metropolitan and White Plains Hospitals. Geraldine also worked for the Bergen County Health Department and the Harrison Health Department. After moving to Guilford she worked for some time with the Guilford VNA.

She enjoyed living a fun life, enjoyed a very fulfilling career as a public health nurse. Family, above everything else is what brought mom the most happiness and joy. She was an amazing wife and a wonderful, loving mother.

Friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, July 13 from 5 – 8 pm at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St, Guilford on Friday, July 14 at 1 pm. Burial will follow in Alder Brook Cemetery, 375 Boston St, Guilford.
