Obituary: Robert Anthony DeCesare, Jr, 80, longtime Guilford resident

Monday, March 13, 2023 Robert Anthony DeCesare, Jr, 80, longtime resident of Guilford passed away at CT Hospice, Branford after a determined journey to regain his health after a fall at home on January 8, 2021.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife and partner in life of 59 years Patricia (Snow) DeCesare, his sons Eric, Shawn and daughter–in–law Linda. His grandchildren Caitlin, Michael, and Kevin DeCesare and great granddaughters Ryland and Sawyer.

He loved entertaining his family of nieces and nephews, his sisters and brothers – in – law Sharon (George), Donna (Joe) and Christine (Frank), brother Mark (Jeanne), and sister Kathy Milano (Lou). Predeceased by a bother John (Annette).

Bob had a very special place in his heart and life for Kelly McDevitt Hooker and her family.

He proudly served in the US Navy during the Cuban Missile Blockade as a 2dn Class Electrician Mate. He was employed by Armstrong Rubber Company, traveled the world as a technician for Eldorado Tool and then opened Closer Look Home Inspections which he operated until 2021.

Friends are invited to calling hours on Sunday, March 19 from 4 – 7 pm at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St, Guilford on Monday, March 20 at 10 am. Burial services will be held privately.
