Person Struck and Killed by Train in Guilford: BREAKING

The accident occurred Friday morning.

UPDATE, 10:30 a.m.: Shore Line East says "Train service has resumed, with some residual delays. Trains 1616 eastbound and 1659 westbound will be running on time.

GUILFORD, CT - A person was struck and killed by a train in Guilford Friday morning, Fox 61 reports.

The Connecticut Post reports that Shore Line East and Amtrak service were suspended because of the accident, which occurred at 8:25 a.m. Officials told the Post that the person who was struck was trespassing on the tracks.

About 120 people were onboard the Amtrak train and no one was injured.
