Scanlon Qualifies For Public Financing
State Representative Scalon has announced that he has raised enough money to qualify for public financing.

GUILFORD, CT - From State Representative Sean Scanlon: State Representative Sean Scanlon (D-Guilford) announced this morning he had raised the necessary funds to qualify for Connecticut's Citizens Election Program public financing system within nine days of announcing his re-election campaign.
"I'm so grateful for the tremendous support I've received since announcing my campaign last week and I'm glad to have finished my fundraising quickly again this year," said Scanlon. "There will be plenty of time for politics and campaigns later this year but my full attention right now is on the upcoming legislative session and working hard for my constituents and working to improve our community and state."
Scanlon says his campaign raised $7,100 ($2,100 more than needed) from over 150 local donors in just over one week. As in his 2014 and 2016 campaigns, Scanlon once again did not accept contributions from outside of Branford and Guilford residents. Scanlon did not seek or accept contributions over $100 in keeping with the original Citizens Election Program contribution limit.
