Scanlon Statement on President Trump Decision to End Health Care Subsidies
House Chair of Insurance & Real Estate committee released a statement in response to Trump's decision to end cost-share subsidies.

From CGA House Democrats: Rep. Sean Scanlon (D-Guilford), House Chair of the Insurance and Real Estate committee, released a statement on Friday in response to President Trump's decision to end cost-share subsidies under the Affordable Care Act:
"President Trump's decision to end the cost-sharing subsidies within the Affordable Care Act will have an immediate negative effect on health care in this state. At a time when Connecticut families are saddled with rising health care costs, this shortsighted and politically-motivated decision will lead to higher premiums for all Connecticut consumers both on and off the exchange, not to mention making insurance unaffordable for some without the help of the subsidies. I hope the President will rethink this damaging decision and spare Connecticut's middle-class further increases in their health care costs."
