Search Begins for New Guilford Police Chief
The Guilford Board of Police Commissioners has begun interviews to find a replacement for retiring Chief Thomas Terribile.

The Guilford Board of Police Commissioners interviewed two internal candidates Tuesday night to replace retiring Police Chief Thomas Terribile, who will officially end his 40-year law enforcement career in April, according to the New Haven Register.
Terribile, 62, began his Guilford career as a patrol officer in the 1970s before rising through the ranks and being named chief in 2002, according to the Register.
Police Board Chairman Jeffrey Hedberg told Kate Ramunni of the New Haven Register that he doesn’t think it will be a long process to name Terribile’s replacement and they should have a decision no later than Feb. 6 if they go with an internal candidate.
