1 Victim Seriously Injured In 2-Vehicle Accident: Guilford PD

GUILFORD, CT — One person was seriously injured and another person sustained minor injuries in an accident Monday afternoon. At 1:16 p.m. Guilford police and fire departments responded to the area of 2600 Boston Post Road for a reported serious motor vehicle accident.

Members of the Guilford Police Accident Reconstruction Unit took over the investigation in which one driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital for emergency care, police said.

The driver of the second vehicle was also transported to the hospital for minor injuries. This area of the Boston Post Road remains closed while the investigation remains active.

It is expected that the Boston Post Road will reopen by 5:30 p.m.
