Several Daytime Residential Burglaries Recently Reported In Guilford
BREAKING: Police are urging residents to be vigilant and secure their homes.

GUILFORD, CT — Guilford police say they are investigating a number of recently reported burglaries and are urging residents to be vigilant.
"The Town of Guilford has experienced an increase in burglaries over the past several weeks. The Guilford Police Department is actively investigating seven such incidents that have occurred since June 30th, 2017. The burglaries have all occurred during the daytime when residents have not been home," Guilford police said in a news release.
"These incidents have been throughout the town and have not been concentrated in any one area. Residents are urged to properly secure their residences when they leave home. Residents should close and lock all windows and doors, and they should activate burglar alarm systems if their homes are equipped. Please report suspicious activity in your neighborhoods to the Guilford Police Department via the routine line: (203) 453-8061 or 911 in the event of an emergency," police said.
