"Splash Donut" at Dunkin' to Support The Splash Pad

Local Dunkin' franchisee donates $2K to The Guilford Splash Pad to kick off a donut fundraiser in all Guilford Dunkin' stores.

D’Andrea Group Dunkin’ is pleased to support The Splash Pad in Guilford with a $2,000 donation, which kicks off a “Donut Fundraiser” at the franchisees three Guilford Dunkin’ locations.

Profits from the sale of “Splash Donuts” will support The Splash Pad Guilford fundraiser from Feb. 2-8 at all three Guilford Dunkin’ locations. The donuts are a yeast ring iced with vanilla frosting and decorated with water drops and sugar sprinkles.

“As children of Guilford who enjoyed an idyllic childhood here, my brother Francesco and I are honored to answer the call of service to support the Splash Pad fundraiser,” said Dunkin’ Franchisee Nicole Ball. “We are thrilled to kick off our “Splash Donut” fundraiser with a $2,000 contribution to help the pad come to fruition.”

D’Andrea Group Dunkin’ hopes to sell more than 500 donuts during the week of Feb. 2-8, to add additional funds to their donation. Guest are encouraged to stop in and purchase “Splash Donuts” all week long. Organizers from The Splash Pad fundraiser will be at Dunkin’ at 556 Boston Post Road on Feb. 2 from 10 a.m. -12 p.m. to answer community questions about the pad.

Splash Pad Fundraising coordinator Mandie Sorrentino has set a goal to raise $150,000 to see the pad come to fruition. She stated the Dunkin’ fundraiser will kick off their giving campaign “Splash Guilford with Kindness” which runs Feb. 3-21 and will involve fundraising with the Guilford school system.

Sorrentino said, “[We] encourage everyone to join the wave, spread kindness in the community and help us make a splash.”

“Donuts, themselves are fun,” commented Francesco D’Andrea, President of D’Andrea Group Dunkin’. “When we can fundraise for a community project that aims to evoke years of joy, through the sale of donuts, that’s just a real win-win,” he added.

D’Andrea of Guilford and Ball who now resides in Branford own 11 Dunkin’ locations along the shoreline with their father Frank D’Andrea also of Guilford.
