Suspect Identified For Guilford Burglaries: Police
A still image captured on a home's surveillance camera and posted to social media led to the identification.

(Correction: An earlier version of this story indicated an arrest has been made. This is not true. A suspect has been identified and charges are pending, police have said. No arrests have yet been made.)
GUILFORD, CT - Police have charges pending against a suspect who allegedly committed daytime burglaries Thursday and Friday in the neighborhoods of New England Road and High Meadow Road. A surveillance camera at one of the house captured a still image of the suspect, which police posted to social media.
According to a statement from police: "Almost immediately after posting the suspects image to Facebook, Guilford residents began to contact the department with critical information that not only helped to identify the suspect and his vehicle, but resulted in the recovery of some of the property that was stolen."

Charges are pending for the suspect, who is also wanted in connection with a number of similar crimes throughout surrounding shoreline communities.
