Thefts from Vehicles in Guilford on the Rise: Police

GUILFORD, CT — Police say they are investigating several thefts from unlocked vehicles, which occurred on Jan. 16-17.

The thefts occurred all from unlocked vehicles on Sachem Head, Indian Cove and Water Street areas. Items taken include credit cards, wallets, purses, electronics and money, police said. Police said there has been a rise of thefts from vehicles in recent weeks, especially at condo complexes.

Police remind residents to lock their car doors and to make sure valuables are not left in plain site.
