$200K Grant Program For Small Businesses Announced In Hamden
Hamden has established a $200,000 grant program for eligible businesses in recognition of Small Business Month.
HAMDEN, CT — The Town of Hamden is excited to announce the establishment of a grant program for eligible businesses in recognition of Small Business Month.
The month of May is National Small Business Month, a time to celebrate the contributions of small businesses and raise awareness of the challenges they face. In recognition, the Town of Hamden has established a $200,000 grant program for eligible businesses.

This initiative is funded by federal assistance provided to the Town of Hamden by the U.S. Department of Treasury under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
The Small Business Grant Program, managed by the Town’s Department of Economic and Community Development, aims to support small businesses that have been, and continue to be, impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible businesses have the opportunity to apply for grants of up to $12,500 for eligible expenses.

To qualify, businesses must be based in Hamden, have been operating since 2019, and demonstrate a negative economic impact from the pandemic. Detailed program guidelines are available at: www.hamdenedc.com/arpa/small-business-grants/.
