76-Year-Old Man Assaulted, Robbed Outside Home: Hamden Police
The man had just returned home from walking his dog when he was hit in the head from behind and robbed of his wallet, according to police.
HAMDEN, CT — A 76-year-old man was assaulted and robbed of his wallet outside his home after walking his dog Wednesday morning in Hamden, according to police.
Police responded to Laurel Road around 9:15 a.m. on the report that the victim was assaulted and robbed outside his house, according to Detective Sean J. Dolan.
Dolan said the victim had just returned home from walking his dog, and was struck in the head from behind with an unknown object and suffered a laceration. The suspects stole his wallet, according to Dolan.

The victim was treated at the scene and taken to the hospital, Dolan said.
Dolan said the two suspects were described as white or Hispanic males, possibly in their 20s and tall. They were both wearing masks and one was wearing a yellow hoodie. They were last seen running toward Prospect Street, according to Dolan.
