American Dance Experience Dancers Have Stellar Summer

Ade Dancers perform at Disney and World Dance Championship !!!!

The students at American Dance Experience have had a busy past couple of weeks. The students performed at Walt Disney World's Disney Springs Marketplace Waterside Stage July 17th.

Forty-five dancers performed 9 dances over the course of 25 minutes. The students ranged in age from 7 to 18 and have prepared for the show over the past few months. American Dance Experience is under the direction of Alicia DeCesare-Corcoran.

The American Dance Experience dancers were presented with a personalized "Golden Mickey" trophy and special Disney Performer Mickey Mouse Ears after the performance.

Following the performance the at Disney Springs, the students went on the compete in the week long Nexstar National Dance Competition.

The dancers performed various solos, duo, trios and group dances in an array of styles. They received numerous high-gold and platinum adjudications and a variety of special and overall awards.

Alicia DeCesare-Corcoran had this to say about the dancer’s week: “We are so incredibly proud of our dancers’ accomplishments.

The dedication and commitment to excellence shown by this group of dancers and their families to form, work, and succeed has been truly outstanding."

The busy schedule continued when two groups were invited to the World Dance Championships held at the Meadowlands Expostion Center August 2-7.

Dancers from two tap groups, Sing Sing Sing and It Don't Mean a Thing participated in this very unique competition experience. This was a very exciting and unique opportunity for the dancers. It was an honor to be invited to go and we will always remember the fun experience that it was.
