The Astonishing Art of Bubble-Making Presented in 'Bubble-Mania'
The program, which is performed by international comic "Bubble-ologist" Casey Carle, is Saturday at Thornton Wilder Hall in Hamden.

The Hamden Arts Commission will present an amazing show on the art and science of bubble-making in its 2014-2015 Saturday Afternoon Family Entertainment Series. On February 21, at 1 p.m., the international comic “Bubble-ologist,” Casey Carle, will perform “Bubble-Mania.”
Carle’s program is unique, combining artistic skills, visual comedy, quick wit, big band swing music and the often unbelievable qualities of liquid spheres. The audience will see giant floating spheres up to six feet in diameter, soap film tubes stretching over 25 feet, a square bubble, a disco ball, intricate bubble sculptures and bubbles that can encase people.

Carle has worked in theatre since 1985, shifting to full-time bubble performances in 1990. He regularly tours the northeast, and travels to national and international venues annually. He has been spotlighted in countless newspapers and television interviews.
The program will be held in the handicapped-accessible Thornton Wilder Hall, Miller Cultural Complex, 2901 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden. Admission remains at the low price of $2 for children; $3 for adults. Tickets are available at the door only.
