Attempted Carjacker Threatened to Kill Driver: Hamden Police
Police say a burglary suspect attempted to carjack a woman after breaking into a car dealership late last year and an arrest has been made.

HAMDEN, CT — Following an extensive investigation, Hamden Police have arrested a man in connection to the burglary of a car dealership and attempted carjacking of a woman last November, according to police.
Hamden Police responded to Custom Auto Sales, located at 1510 Dixwell Avenue on Nov. 6, 2015, on the report of a burglary.
The suspect forcibly entered the business by breaking a garage window, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said that moments after committing the burglary, the individual responsible, Corey Satterfield, ran across Millis Street and attempted to gain entry into an occupied motor vehicle.
Satterfield is accused of threatening to kill the driver, who was able to successfully flee from the area in her vehicle, according to Smith.

The woman told police that Satterfield was in the possession of a knife.
Detective Jomo Crawford conducted an extensive investigation that lead to the application of an arrest warrant for Satterfield.
Hamden Police arrested Satterfield, 31, of Barbara Lane in Hamden, on a warrant on Aug. 24. He was charged with third-degree burglary and criminal attempt to commit carjacking.
Satterfield, who was detained on a court-ordered $10,000 bond, was arraigned at Meriden Superior Court later in the day.
