Christmas Week Weather Forecast: What to Expect in Connecticut
Latest details on today's dreary weather forecast and what you can expect weather wise each day through Christmas Day.

Several inches of heavy, wet snow piled up all across Connecticut Saturday morning and today temps will rise rapidly into the mid 50s and dreams of a White Christmas began to quickly melt away for many of us in the state.
It’s hard to fathom that we’re one week away from Christmas Day and with many people traveling all across the country for family gatherings, we’ll take a look at the forecast over the next seven days, including the preliminary forecast for Christmas Day.
First, we’ll deal with some heavy rain at times during the day through 4 p.m. Sunday and a patchy fog that could impact travel this morning. Temps skyrocket close to 60 degrees. Remember Thursday night and how it felt below zero with the wind chill factor!

We definitely need the rain, so we’re looking at a half inch throughout the state. A lot of the fresh fallen snow will be washed away or melted by the end of the night. Winds will also be gusty on Sunday and may get as high as 30 mph.
Despite the skyrocketing temps this morning the temps will plummet and all of the snow that melted will likely freeze and could lead to difficult driving and walking conditions later. Temps will fall to 20 degrees on the shore and a freezing 15 degrees inland.
